Ride for LIFE 2019

“I’ve been wanting to ride around the Philippines since 2014 so I asked my friends, ‘if there was Race for LIFE and Run for LIFE, why not Ride for LIFE,’” recounts Jerome Gutierrez, Project Coordinator of Ride for Life.

Ride for LIFE, a fundraising initiative for the benefit of Real LIFE, was birthed out of the desire to use what Jerome and his friends enjoy doing to support our scholars. He says, “Ride for LIFE is about passion and compassion. [It’s] passion [for] obeying Christ and riding. [It’s] compassion for the poor. Ride for LIFE also creates awareness for Real LIFE Foundation.”

The first was in 2017 around Luzon, followed by a Mindanao loop last year. This October 2019, the team will be going around Visayas.

To those who want to help others, but are not sure how, Jerome says, “Obedience is key. You’ll know when an idea is from God. He will give you the grace, peace, and provision to make it happen.”
