Real LIFE Holds Career Workshops
For Its Scholars and Alumni

On April 22 and 23, 2022, we held our annual National Scholars’ Conference (NSC) in a hybrid set up. 115 graduating scholars gathered together in seven locations in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao and joined the event which was hosted in Metro Manila via Zoom.

We invited professionals in leadership positions in different fields and industries to speak. Our scholars learned plenty of practical advice on job interviews, figuring out their career paths, and how to excel in their chosen profession.

We also had inspiring sessions with the Bishops’ Council of Victory.

About a month later, on May 28, we did an online Career Fair for our graduating scholars and alumni.

The Table Group, Inc., Bayer Philippines, and Deloitte shared opportunities at their companies that our alumni can apply for.

Amanda Layug, a virtual assistant (VA) for over four years now, shared how our alumni can also become freelance VAs while Real LIFE alumnus and freelance financial advisor Eugene Baja talked about how to get into insurance.

Jomar Cabahug, also a Real LIFE alumnus and businessman, shared tips on becoming an entrepreneur.

Joefell Balagosa, our third alumnus who spoke at the event and who currently works as an English learner's program coordinator and faculty at a schools district in the U.S., and Karen Rubina, an immigration consultant in Canada, explained to our alumni how they too can work abroad.
