I am Ronnie Chu, a Real LIFE alumnus from Pasig City. My stepfather earned very little from driving a tricycle. So in high school, I had to walk three kilometers to go to school. In college, before becoming a Real LIFE scholar, I became a house boy to a family my mother was baby sitting for.

I am Jireh, the fourth of five children of Pantaleon, a shoe repairman, and Belinda, a housewife. Life was never easy for our family. There were times when we only had rice and soy sauce to eat. I would walk to and from school because my allowance was not enough to pay for public transportation.
